Music:

The Pogues – let’s face it; world’s greatest band. Period.

Shane MacGowan - lead singer of the Pogues. Greatest lyricist of this century, a pure genius and a damn poet in my opinion. This is not the “official” home page. It’s better, updated more often, and better maintained.

Greenland Whale Fishers – great Norwegian band with a strong “Pogues feel” to it. The band’s frontman sounds interestingly a lot like Shane MacGowan, regardless of his clear Norwegian accent.

The Dubliners – to cut this short; you better know who they are. Otherwise you seriously seem to be on the wrong site.

Ireland:
Sinn Féin – Irish political socialist/left-wing nationalist party, working for a united Ireland.
